At Alegria Medical Centre, we understand that some patients wish to have direct access to laboratory tests in order to proactively monitor their health. That’s why we offer direct access laboratory tests (DAT), a convenient solution for monitoring your health without the need for a prior consultation. However, we strongly believe that access to these tests should be used with caution and responsibility.

Although convenient, these tests require careful consideration:

  • Interpretation: Results can be difficult to understand without medical advice.
  • Targeted Approach: Additional tests may be recommended by a doctor for a complete evaluation, while others may not be relevant to your case.
  • Support: We strongly recommend discussing your results with a doctor to ensure proper interpretation and make the right decisions.

Our Advice

For optimal and personalized medical care, we recommend a consultation before the blood test.

BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT: Blood tests can be bought and scheduled directly online.

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT: With the exception of blood tests for STIs, please ensure that you have been fasting for at least 12 hours before your appointment (water is permitted).

RESULTS: The results will be sent to you directly by e-mail within 1 to 5 days.
