« Understanding a person also means understanding the system in which they evolve. »
Trained at Nova Medical School in Lisbon and later in Switzerland, Pedro became a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, a dual approach that reflects his holistic vision of care. He is particularly interested in how each individual functions within their system: family, couple, or professional environment, and has trained in systemic psychotherapy.
He mainly works with affective disorders and personality disorders, using schema therapy to help identify and understand unmet core needs.
At Alegria, he values the multicultural environment and the fluid communication within the team.
