Preparing for an exam with sophrology

Sophrology is body and mind training to develop serenity and well-being.

It is very effective for preparing for exams, as it helps with

  • Optimisation of concentration and memory capacities
  • Psychosomatic disorders linked to stress (headaches, digestive problems, back pain)
  • Strengthening of self-confidence
  • Stimulation of energy and vitality

By using breathing and muscle relaxation, sophrology induces mental relaxation

With visualization, the patient projects himself into success and programs positiveness. The fear of failure is transformed into the desire to succeed, a completely different issue!

The psychologist-sophrologist Emmanuelle Clapier shares with us one of her experiences of support in the preparation of an exam.

“This person was preparing to take the school teachers’ exam for the second time. The sessions started 3 months before the exam. It helps her to mobilize her energy towards this goal, to optimize her intellectual capacities and to stimulate her motivation.
The experience was a success because the person passed the exam.”

The exercises are simple and effective, it can be done individually or in groups.

The ideal is to start the sessions 2 to 3 months before the exam, once a week and at least 3 times a week at home. The training and the repetition of the exercises are important to integrate the techniques and to program the success.
