Joana began her career in nursing, driven by her interest in biology and human interaction. She started working in the United Kingdom, later lived in Australia, and eventually returned to Portugal. This diverse experience enriched her perspective on healthcare and patient support.
In her practice as a nurse, she has never overlooked the importance of closeness and compassion in her relationships with those she supports.
Over time, her interest expanded to psychological wellbeing, particularly through her work with children and adolescents in school settings. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology.
Attentive and approachable, Joana places great importance on building strong relationships with her patients, encouraging them to move forward at their own pace and to focus on what they can control, in an approach that is both human and empathetic.
